One of Max's favorite activities of summer was the Splash Pad at our local YMCA.
He would beg to go visit "the buckets" even though he was too much of a chicken to stand underneath them! His regular routine consisted of:
Saying hello to the buckets
Swimming in the outdoor pool
Circling the Splash Pad and counting the buckets
Jumping into the outdoor pool
Running through the splash area with Daddy
Checking out the indoor pool
Back to the splash area to get sprayed
Final jump in the outdoor pool
Waving goodbye to the buckets
Labor Day weekend marked the end of the reign of the buckets. Naturally, the momentous occasion required a special trip to say a fond farewell to the Buckets of Summer!
