Furman football was not a priority this fall, but we made it to the most important game of the year. Was it because this game would determine the Southern Conference Champion? Well that was one reason, but we were more interested in checking out the newly completed club level seating!
We have four season tickets, but Sarah doesn't need a ticket yet so Max got to bring his friend, Will.
Sarah wanted to bring a friend, too - her Furman Bear.
Furman's newest cheerleader was ready for the big game.
Ready? Ok.
Look at her form on jumps (and the flying pouf)!
Gooooo, Furman!
First attempt at a scorpion
Just like Mama :)
Fancy Club Level
Sarah agrees that inside seating is superior, especially when it is cold and windy!
I can't believe this defense!
Bad call!
Come on, Paladins!
Max was taking the game just as seriously.
Whoohoo!!
These crazy fans!
Apparently, a benefit of our old seats was that Max had NEVER noticed the hill where kids play wildly during the games. Will spotted it immediately from our new vantage point and the boys begged to go over. They discovered some other friends with a wealth of cardboard for sliding. Furman games will never be the same!
Sarah was happy to have a better view of the horse!
We never would have believed it at the beginning of the season, but Furman ended the game as the Southern Conference Champions with a trip to the playoffs in December...in North Dakota. We will have to cheer from afar for that game; no one can cheer in temperatures below zero. Go, go Paladins!
