These adults can't figure out what they want you to do. As soon as you learn to sleep on your back, they stick you on your tummy on the floor for "Tummy Time". They spend all this time encouraging you to sit up, but then they put you down on your hands and knees to crawl. Once you can crawl, they start trying to get you stand up and walk. They applaud when you pull up, but then won't let you do it on some furniture and definitely not in your crib. When you try to walk, they put gates up all over the house blocking your routes. They beg you to nurse in the beginning, but then they stick a bottle down your throat. They force you to eat mush and as soon as you learn to swallow that, they switch it to chunks. They show you how to suck your thumb, then tell you that you're ruining your teeth and have to give it up. They squeal when you say your first words, but then tell you be quiet. They give, give, give, then take, take, take.
It's hard to be a baby.

It's true Max. My mommy loves when I "talk" but shushes me when I do it in church. Why??
