Some kids are born to be leaders. They are the future presidents and captains of industry. Some children are natural performers. They will become the next generation of actors and artists or tv personalities. And some kids are followers. So far, Max has demonstrated a natural inclination to follow. He does so with an absolutely endearing manner. He watches others with delight before cautiously joining in. And he does know limits...he may laugh at the children who can't sit on their square or who constantly interrupt the teacher, but he does not imitate them. These are the kids who will be on medication in the next few years.
Max's preschool class hosted a musical showcase as part of their family celebration week. The children sang songs, played instruments, and demonstrated how difficult it is to remain still when family members are sitting nearby.
It was not surprising when Max enthusiastically joined in the wave of flashing that swept the class during the performance. First, Caroline B. pulled up her lovely smocked dress to reveal her undies. Then it was Whit's turn to show a little skin and, finally, Max lifted his shirt to allow everyone to admire his rock solid muscular frame.
The vocal performance was only slightly overshadowed by the children's antics.
