The Greenville Drive had some special players take the field at a recent game! The local Little League teams walked around the field and the players were introduced. The crowd went wild…because it consisted solely of parents.

Our family is very spoiled because we have always had suite tickets for the Drive games, thanks to Daddy's company, and have managed to avoid the playground area at the stadium. The seats for the Phillies were located directly in the sun during the hottest part of the day (and it was a VERY hot day). And the 763 Little League players were drawn to the playground like flies. Indeed, the most apt description of that playground is to recall the book, Lord of the Flies. After safely navigating our children away from the playground brutality, Daddy pulled out the suite tickets and we abandoned our team in favor of air conditioning and shade. Blessed air conditioning.
Kyle's family was waiting in line for ice cream with us when we broke, so they were the lucky winners who got to accompany us to the suite!
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks
(and ice cream)
I don't care if I never get back!
For it's root, root, root for the home team
If they don't win, it's a shame
For it's 1,2,3 strikes, you're out
at the old ballgame!
