Max's 3K Class
Teachers: Mrs. Leaphart and Mrs. O'Neal
Max closed out his school year with a WILD (themed) party! Animal-print sunglasses and animal masks helped the kids channel their inner beasts. Toss in some chocolate bananas, outdoor games, and an ice cream truck, and these monkeys were swinging from the trees! (Which might explain the difficulty in getting them to pose for a picture....or maybe it was because they are 4 years old). The children decorated custom photo frames for their teachers with each child's thumbprint as a different animal.
Max made many precious friends over the past year and has blossomed in his new school. The most amusing part of Max's new friendships are the associations he makes with their names. Andrew is not just Andrew:"It's like the fisherman - Peter, James and John and ANDREW!" There was a Cade and a Kate in his class, which sound very similar to young ears. So it was necessary to refer to them as "Cade the Boy and Kate the Girl". Jeremiah: "Well, you know he's in the Bible, too." Does the child with the last name BEAN even need an explanation? But the best was Max's inflection for "Riv-ERS."
Max's teachers provided a warm, nurturing environment and really fostered a love for school in his young heart. Both teachers raved about Max and the feeling was mutual. Max is already excited about the upcoming school year - after his WILD summer, of course!
